Sixers Stun Celtics at Home

Leon Powe's 16 points and team leading 7 rebounds were not enough to lead the Boston Celtics passed the Philadelphia 76ers. The Sixers went on a 19-0 run in the 4th quarter, taking the lead and the game 95-90.

Leon, who again was the Celtics player of the game, did not get the help from the other players to finish the job against Philadelphia. The big three did a nice job, but the other role players didn't contribute and it killed the Celtics. Doc Rivers had some funny substitution patterns that probably didn't help as well but there's still no excuse for losing to the 76ers at home.

Even though the Celtics loss, I'm always proud when I see Leon show up and do his thing. There should be no more questions about Leon at this point. He's improving every time he steps on the floor. People often think Leon is just a scrap guy, but lately he's starting to show he can be a go to guy in the post. Leon's hard work with assistant coach Clifford Ray is really paying off. Hopefully Doc is paying attention so we can see more Leon as the playoff get closer.

Leon really did carry the Celtics tonight. Too bad no one else showed up to play

Leon plays like a man. Great hands and he goes right to the rim. No messing around. Nothing fancy. And he gets better with each game.

I love Leon Powe.

Raj,

Even Leon has surprised me with how great his hands are. He should be playing TE for the Patriots. It's always good to see Leon get some appreciation.
