Celtics Exterminate Hornets

The Boston Celtics got a very nice win Friday by defeating the west leading New Orleans Hornets 112-92.
This was a tight game until the Celtics started to pull away in the 3rd quarter. Leon played a key part in the 3rd quarter run on the defensive side of the ball. Powe was able to take All-Star David West out of his game by drawing three offensive fouls on West in less than 3 minuets. You won't see many guys in the NBA draw charges better than Leon Powe, he runs a clinic on how to get your body in position to draw a foul.

Leon was able to get the job done on offense and on the boards as well, scoring 12 points and grabbing 7 rebounds in just 19 minuets. Although I won't be completely happy until Leon is a starter, it is nice to see Leon coming off the bench as a 6th man. He gives a real boost to the team, and that's what a 6th man is suppose to do, bring a lot of energy!

This was a game that really had to boost the already high confidence of the Celtics. Beating the best team in the West is quite an accomplishment. It was another nice win for the Celtics, and another very nice game for Leon Powe.

Just another day at the office for Leon. I love it

Leon's defense on David West was huge in that third quarter. West was pissed off and couldnt handle another tough guy guarding him. Another reason to love Leon.
