Leon puts an end to Rockets' Streak

(AP Photo/Bob Levey)

Leon Powe and the Boston Celtics ended the Houston Rockets 22 game win streak in a 94-74 routing in Houston. Leon Powe was clearly the player of the game in this one, scoring 21 points in 20 minuets. Us Leon Powe fans were not surprised by this performance. TNT commentator Doug Collins kept saying, "no one would have ever thought Leon Powe would be the leading scorer in the first half." Well Doug, I'd like to say some of us saw it coming.

Once AGAIN, Leon showed if given the playing time he will produce and play big. If Leon would have gotten 48 minuets he would have scored 50 at the pace he was scoring at. On top of it Powe was getting hacked and couldn't get a foul called. But still Leon was able to have a legendary game.

I don't know about everyone else, but I thought after Leon hit that jump shot he was going to give the Michael Jordan shrug. The shrug that you give when you just can't miss or be stopped. It was one of those nights for Leon. Hopefully after seeing a game like this, Doc will wake up and give Leon the minuets he's earned.

Celtic Glen,
It's always good to see people notice what Leon Powe does for the Celtics. He's only going to get better. I pray they keep him around for years to come.
